What is Procedure for Direct KVS Recruitment 2019-2020
Direct Recruitment to the posts of Principal, Vice Principal Post Graduate, Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Librarian, Primary Teacher (Group B) Primary Teacher -Music (Group B) and all teaching as well non-teaching staff for Kendriya Vidyalayas except the posts of Sub Staff and car Driver shall be made centrally by the Headquarters and, when necessary, on the basis of an All India advertisement. An exception to the KVS recruitment procedure when a son/ daughter or other near relatives of an employee who dies in harness, leaving his family in indigent circumstances.
Special Provision for KVS Recruitment 2019-20 of Female Teachers
While making a new Kvs Recruitment of women to teaching or non- teaching personnel, it shall be assured that no maternity leave will be asked by the applicant within 6 months of their joining KVS service. Before the actual meeting, the Kvs Recruitment persons shall demand the woman applicant to provide a medical certificate from a Government/ Municipal Hospital to this effect in case a formal medical investigation will take time and the meeting cannot be delayed.
The Kvs Recruitment Authority will be free to remove the offer in case leave is likely to be asked by a selected applicant within 6 months of her joining service. However, fresh selection order will be issued after the fitness certificate is produced as per instruction of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan(KVS) issued from time to time.
Women employees already appointed on regular basis / on probation even though temporary, but who have not completed service for one session may be granted maternity leave, were admissible.
Reservations In Direct Recruitment
For Scheduled Castes, it is 15% while for Scheduled Tribes it 7.5%. The reservation of SC/ST/OBC etc .shall be as per directions of Govt. of India, Department of personnel and training issued from time to time. KVS Recruitment Rules says provide 50% of the vacancies of a grade to be filled by promotion, and the remaining 50% by direct recruitment.

f)PGT (Biology) – Botany/ Zoology/ Life Sciences/Bio Sciences/ Genetics/ Micro Biology/Bio-Technology/ Molecular Bio/Plant Physiology provided they have studied Botany and Zoology at Graduation level.
